Job Summary

Overview

Formulates and maintains an approved plan of organization and operations which assures sound, efficient function of the Chamber, its committees and office.

Duties

  • Assures the fiscal affairs of the Chamber are properly managed through development and maintenance of a budget and through the exercise of sound business practices.
  • Exercises aggressive leadership in all aspects of the Chamber’s operation; especially, in promoting cooperation between members, the community and other public/private agencies.
  • Establishes and maintains close liaison with agencies; political and private, and organizations whose activities affect the operation of member businesses.
  • Acts as spokesperson for the membership in informing the public on matters relating to or affecting the membership and the community.
  • Responsible for the continual development of the Chamber’s role in serving the needs of its members.
  • Responsible for the overall professional development and management of all Chamber staff and assuring that professional staff are employed.
  • Carries out such other general duties or assignments as may be delegated by the board of directors.
